“Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck pennies, and our lives. But neighbors give in return. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him nothing, and it made me sad.”—
So my landlord defaulted on their mortgage and I got served a notice in the mail telling me the house I rent is going to be put up for foreclosure sale (as a result)… and I just received a bs-filled email from the landlord regarding the foreclosure sale notice I received, basically saying I could continue living here — erm… it’s a public sale… meaning anyone could buy the property. You just want more rent from me when you’re clearly not paying your debts (ie: loans)
Clearly I put a hold on my rent check… rather $25 to do that than to lose $650 in rent…
My therapist wants to call my parents… I have no idea whyshe does or what she wants to tell them. More anxiety than it’s worth… I think… I just don’t imagine it boding well for either of us.
I need to go apartment hunting, but i have to be at work in 50 minutes so today is shot… five potential on the list right now. All in various parts of the city —- one is pretty much exactly where I want to live and a lot of distress tolerance opportunities are nearby… but only cats… however, that letter from my therapist should make that a non-issue… There is one sort of downer about the location… but the perks are much better. It’s not the most updated of all of them, but it’s how I feel in that part of the city… you know?
